Carevie Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how PROBOX Infotech Private Limited (“Carevie”, “we”, “our”, “us”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Carevie website and applications (the “Platform”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Introduction

Cookies help us secure the Platform, maintain your login session, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it. Some cookies are strictly necessary for the Platform to function; others are optional and used only with your consent.

If you have any questions about this Cookie Policy, please contact us at support@carevie.in.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your browser or device when you visit. They allow the website to recognise your device, remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and collect information about how you use the website. Cookies may be set by the website you are visiting (“first-party cookies”) or by a third-party service operating on the website (“third-party cookies”). Similar technologies — including local storage, session storage, and pixel tags — perform comparable functions and are covered by this Policy.

3. Types of cookies we use

The Carevie Platform uses the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:

Type of cookieExamplesPurpose
Strictly necessary cookiesSupabase authentication tokens (sb-access-token, sb-refresh-token), session cookies, CSRF tokensThese cookies are essential for the Platform to function correctly and cannot be disabled. They are used to authenticate you after OTP verification, maintain your login session across pages, and protect against cross-site request forgery and other security threats. Without these cookies, you will not be able to log in or use the core features of the Platform.
Functional cookiesUI preferences, language, last-viewed sectionThese cookies remember choices you make on the Platform (such as preferred layout, last-viewed section, or display options) so that we can provide a more personalised experience on your next visit.
Analytics & performance cookies_ga, _gid, _gat, _ga_<container-id> (set by Google Analytics)We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated, non-identifiable information about how Users interact with the Platform — for example, the pages visited, time spent, and any errors encountered. This helps us improve reliability, performance, and usability. Google Analytics may set its own cookies; see Section "Third-party cookies" below for details. Where required by law, these cookies are set only after you have provided consent.
Third-party cookiesCookies set by Google Analytics; cookies set by Supabase for authenticationSome cookies may be set by trusted third-party service providers that operate parts of the Platform (such as Supabase for authentication infrastructure and Google for analytics). These third parties are bound by their own privacy and cookie policies. We do not permit third-party cookies for advertising or cross-site behavioural profiling.

No advertising cookies

We do not use cookies for behavioural advertising, retargeting, or cross-site profiling, and we do not allow third parties to do so through our Platform.

Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address (anonymised where supported), device identifiers, browser type, pages visited, time spent, and referring URL. This information is processed in aggregated, non-identifiable form to help us improve the Platform.

Google's use of your information is governed by Google's privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences or your browser settings. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before the withdrawal.

8. Managing and disabling cookies

• View the cookies that are stored on your device;
• Block all cookies, or only third-party cookies;
• Delete cookies that have already been stored; and
• Set the browser to notify you before a cookie is placed.

Please note that if you block or delete strictly necessary cookies, the Platform will not function properly — for example, you may not be able to log in, your session may end unexpectedly, or your preferences may not be saved.
